At Create Studios, we brought Mary Mungai’s powerful poem Dear Black Girl to life, celebrating the strength, beauty, and brilliance of Black girlhood.
This project was a true collaboration, with our BFI Traction young people shaping the vision on set and behind the camera, adding their creativity, energy, and perspective to every frame. The result is a vibrant, moving piece that turns words into images and celebrates courage, joy, and identity.
