TOO MUCH: MELODRAMA & STEAM MUSEUM SPECIAL SCREENING
TICKETS FOR THIS EVENT CAN ONLY BE PURCHASED THROUGH STEAM GWR – Please visit their page for tickets!
Regularly voted the most romantic British film of all time, a story about two people’s forbidden love is a glorious masterpiece. Honouring Swindon’s railway heritage, there isn’t a more perfect venue for you to join us for the 80th anniversary of this classic by David Lean and Noel Coward.
Laura Jesson accidentally meets Alex Harvey at a railway station on her way home from a neighbouring town. Both married with children, the pair begin to question their previously happy home lives when their chance encounter turns into a regular acquaintance and their initial friendship becomes a burgeoning attraction. Realising the impossibility of their situation, Laura and Alex must consider parting forever.
This screening will be hosted in the STEAM Museum, offering audiences an immersive locomotive viewing experience in the historic building of the museum that is sure to bring the melodrama of its lead characters to life.
