Eve Whelan

BFI Spotlight Assistant

Eve is a BFI Spotlight Assistant at Create Studios, where she plays a key role in supporting the promotion of independent cinema in Swindon. As part of the BFI’s Spotlight programme, Eve works to enhance community engagement with film, helping to provide access to archival materials and assist in the production of digital content. She is also involved in outreach efforts to foster a greater appreciation for diverse cinematic voices within the local area through the young programming group Reel25.

In addition to her role at Create Studios, Eve has hands-on experience in film production, being one of our first graduate cohorts in our space in 2023 also having worked as a runner on the 2024 Chelsea Hype film, where she demonstrated strong organisational and teamwork skills.

Eve has a BA in Film and Television from University of Bristol.
