Recently screened as part of the London Film Festival’s official selection, and the selected entry for Palestine for Best International feature of the 98th Academy Awards, Palestine 36 follows the escalating conflict against British colonial rule in 1936 Palestine. A young Palestinian boy experiences great personal change as he begins working with a centrist-liberal newspaper editor in Jerusalem.

Palestine 36 explores the fraught history of Britain’s colonial past, examining it through the lens of those who fought the powers that be to fight for independence.
