Sofa screenings is the first in a series of initiatives that Create Studios will be sharing as part of a new 3-year British Film Institute Spotlight initiative in Swindon, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire bringing the best of old and new film to audiences hungry to share screening experiences again.
This new initiative has been funded by the BFI awarding funds from National Lottery to enable Film Hub South West (part of BFI film Audience Network (FAN) to work at a more local level to develop the capacity and confidence of cinemas, community organisations and creatives to put on screenings of a wide range of films for local audiences.
Based at Create Studios in Swindon, Louise has been appointed to work with the Create Studios team to deliver this exciting new project. Drawing on her extensive experience within film education and mentoring people within community settings, the Create team are excited to welcome Louise to the team.
If you think your group or community centre might like to host or curate screenings in the future, then do get in touch.
