Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group co-produced alongside Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust, reached out to us after seeing our ‘5 Steps to Mental Well-being’ to help promote a new digital mental health resource for Children and Young People and their families in the form of a website named ‘On Your Mind Glos’ (OYMG). The website launched across Gloucestershire in aid for Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week w/c 7th February 2022.
Reaching out for help with mental health can be a huge first step therefore we had to create a simple, easily relatable video giving young people all the information they need to get help. It was important to get across that this isn’t just a support finder but the website has lots of resources and information about mental health concerns and definitions and signposting to local support organisations including CAMHS, Young Minds Matter, TicPlus and Young Gloucestershire.
We worked with our freelancer, Ricardo, to create an animation coinciding with their launch in February. The aim of the video is to explain what OYMG is, who it is for and how it can be accessed – via website or text bot.
On Your Mind is now able to equip young people, parents/carers and professionals with trusted, up to date information about self-help resources available in Gloucestershire and how to access mental health support, should they need it.
