From this year’s Oscar winning director, Sean Baker, The Florida Project follows Moonee, a six year old girl living with her Mother, Halley, in a motel near Disneyland. The two spend the summer swindling tourists and being a nuisance to the motel’s manager, Bobby, all while Halley tries to make ends meet to support her daughter.

Simple in its premise, the film tells its story through Moonee’s eyes, offering an innocent and brightly coloured perspective to the struggles experienced in the local community.
