SOFA SCREENINGS

Two teens living in a remote Australian town are plagued by a violent entity that takes the form of the person they desire the most – each other. The two struggle to understand what is real and what is being twisted by this powerful force, causing turmoil for their relationship and understanding of one another.

This debut film from writer-director Adrian Chiarella offers a complex queer horror tale through a supernatural lens, using previously tired tropes of queer representation to deliver something sharp and smart in its look at identity, sexuality, and religious trauma.
