We are proud to share a collection of five remarkable films that highlight the vibrant energy and timeless beauty of our local folk traditions in partnership with Wessex Museums Trust. From the spirited Morris Men to the unforgettable Summer Solstice at Stonehenge, these films honour the heart of our shared heritage.
Each museum will display additional objects from their own collections and platform new folk art, co-created with local communities and artists offering fresh perspectives on what folk means to Wessex people today. Objects unique to the Wiltshire Museum exhibition will be also be displayed, including a ‘sweetheart’ cushion, and iron cello and artwork from a community project.
The current exhibition runs at The Salisbury Museum – 7th February – 10th May 2026
Look out for future exhibitions across the South West on the Wessex Museum website
