Daniel Granville

Daniel is an accomplished filmmaker and screenwriter based in Swindon. In 2024, he won one of the Create Studios Short Film Fund awards hosted in partnership with acclaimed director David Yates which provided £1,000 and £10,000 of kit to support the production of his drama/horror short film, Ghost Story .
As writer‑director of Ghost Story, Daniel led the project from script to screen on a modest budget. The film has since screened at several respected festivals, including The Short Film Night in Manchester, An Afternoon With David Yates in Swindon, and the Two Short Nights Film Festival in Exeter FilmFreeway.
A member of industry programs including BFI New Voices: Step Up (2024), BFI Southwest New Voices (2021), Channel 4 & Sony Pictures Television “Momentum” mentorship (2023), and recipient of the Creative Access‑McLaren Racing Career Development Bursary (2023), Daniel combines creative flair with professional development.
With strengths in storytelling, collaboration, and production, Daniel continues to build a meaningful career in screenwriting and filmmaking across the UK.
